A Delta North Tea guide
Delta North Discovery Pack vs 30-Bag Pack
Both packs hold the same tea, 100% blue lotus flowers in pre-portioned bags, so the only real difference is quantity: the Discovery Pack has 10 bags and the larger pack has 30.
Both packs hold the same tea, 100% blue lotus flowers in pre-portioned bags, so the only real difference is quantity: the Discovery Pack has 10 bags and the larger pack has 30. Which one fits depends on whether you already know you like the taste, and on how Delta North’s return rules treat an opened food product. Our Delta North Tea discount code page lists the current code and how to use it.
The same tea in both packs
Delta North sells one tea. Both sizes of its blue lotus tea bags contain handpicked, sun-dried blue lotus flowers (Nymphaea caerulea) and nothing else, according to the product page. Delta North also says:
- The tea is USDA Organic.
- Every batch is sent to an independent lab to confirm it is genuine Nymphaea caerulea and free of contaminants.
- A Certificate of Analysis is available for every batch on request.
- The bags come in its DeltaSeal packaging.
So there is no quality step up between the packs. You are choosing how many bags to buy at once.
When the 10-bag Discovery Pack fits
The Discovery Pack is the way to find out whether you like the flavour, which Delta North describes as soft and floral with an earthy finish. It is also the safer first order because of the return rules:
- Delta North’s shipping and returns page offers a 60 day satisfaction guarantee from delivery, but limits returns to one item per customer on first-time purchases unless otherwise approved.
- It may ask for the unused portion to be sent back before it issues a refund, and return shipping is on you unless the error was theirs.
- Its separate refund policy lists food as non-returnable and says sale items cannot be returned.
Those pages do not line up neatly, so contact Delta North support before you send anything back. Either way, a smaller first order means less is riding on the answer.
When the 30-bag pack fits
If you already know you like the tea, the 30-bag pack means fewer orders. Delta North says its DeltaSeal packaging keeps the bags fresh for up to 2 years when stored cool and dry, so a larger pack does not need to be used up quickly.
Prices and sale banners on the product page change often, so compare the two packs on the day you order. Divide each price by its bag count to see the cost per bag. We do not know whether our code combines with a subscription, so check the total at checkout.
Storing an open pack
Delta North’s advice is to keep the tea sealed, dry and away from light and heat. In practice:
- Close the pack after taking out each bag.
- Keep it away from the kettle, the stove and a sunny windowsill.
- Store it apart from strong-smelling foods and spices, since dried tea picks up odours.
Shipping and Delta North’s cautions
Delta North ships within the United States only, free by USPS Priority Mail. It says most orders go to USPS within 1 business day, and its shipping policy says most domestic orders arrive in 3 to 7 business days after processing.
Blue lotus is banned for human consumption in Louisiana, and Delta North says it does not ship blue lotus there, so check the rules where you live before you buy.
Delta North says its blue lotus tea is an herbal tea, not a medicine. It says not to drink it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, to talk with your doctor first if you take prescription medication, to avoid combining it with alcohol or sedatives, and not to drive until you know how it affects you. Its site also says the product is intended for adults 18 and over.
